its finally Fall and with that comes cooler weather and of course Halloween. We have not seen good Halloween nights for a couple nights. How does tomorrow fare? Many may see rain throughout the day. Here are two images from early morning showing rain over much of the state. The big question is how will conditions fare over trick or treating hours. Snow looks to move in mid afternoon and stick around for a few hours. So will there be accumulation. Maybe for a bit. These models suggest up to a couple inches of snowfall. That is different from accumulation. The ground is still too warm for much to stick. That is not to say it cant happen, but it is still likely we may see some snow on grass and other elevated surfaces. There will also be an isue for wind chill. With temperature dipping down to freezing or near freezing and with winds of 15-20mph gusting to 33, there will be low wind chills. its going to be a cold one for trick or treating tomorrow. So make sure you and your kiddos are bundles up in your costumes.
Have a happy Halloween and enjoy the first snowflakes of the season! *Fun fact* Indianapolis saw 2.01 in of snow on Halloween night in 2013.
